Established in Western Australia in 2025, DVH was created when Halo Civil Engineering acquired DVH Industries to form DVH. Today we are a national ground‑engineering specialist trusted on commercial, residential, infrastructure, resources and defence projects across Australia.

Our story
DVH was built on hard earned experience and reputation.
- 1999-2009: DVH Industries was founded in 1999 by Dean Haines and his father, Vern, as a building and civil contracting business specialising in sea walls, limestone walls and retaining structures. In 2007, DVH executed its first piling project, installing sheet piles at Brockway’s waste disposal site in Claremont. Following standout successes on major projects such as Elizabeth Quay and Swan Brewery, the company quickly pivoted its focus to earth-retention and piling, establishing a strong reputation in this specialised field.
- 2010–2024: DVH earns a reputation as the go‑to partner for complex, high‑risk ground‑engineering scopes across Western Australia.
- 2025: Halo Civil Engineering acquires DVH, combining DVH’s deep industry roots with Halo’s progressive systems, innovation culture and financial strength. DVH is born.
