Success built from the ground up.

At DVH, we deliver exceptional piling and ground engineering solutions with precision and efficiency.

We are built for rapid deployment, equipped with one of the largest local stocks of sheet piles and soldier piles, along with a diverse fleet of specialist piling rigs. This enables us to mobilise swiftly and efficiently. While others may wait on equipment or materials, we are already on-site, focused on delivering results that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Earth Retention

Sheet piles

Ideal for deep excavations, seawalls, basements, bridge abutments, cofferdams, and more, our sheet piling solutions are tailored to suit your ground conditions and structural needs. With decades of experience, DVH designs and optimises pile selection to ensure performance while reducing cost and ensuring maximum performance.

We install both permanent and temporary sheet piles:

Ground anchors (Tie backs)

Reliable ground anchoring is essential to retaining system performance.

We install both temporary and permanent anchors to stabilise soil and prevent movement, during excavation or over the long term. Every anchor is tested, tensioned, and certified to meet the highest standards.

Soldier piles & lagging

A versatile and proven solution for retaining walls and staged excavations, particularly in urban or restricted-access sites.

DVH drill, place, and pour with precision, using custom rigs designed to minimise disruption. Our in-house design team ensures each system is compliant, constructible, and cost-effective for both short- and long-term applications.

Soil nails

Soil nailing transforms a natural slope or temporary cut into a stable, composite mass without the bulk of a full retaining wall.

Ideal for road widenings, rail cuttings and batters where you want to preserve as much open area as possible.

Our rigs excavate in incremental lifts, drill a slight downward‑inclined hole, insert a threaded bar and grout it in place. Once proof‑tested, we apply structural shotcrete or a permanent precast facing, before repeating the sequence for the next lift.

Vertical and horizontal bracing

Where anchors are impossible, due to property boundaries, utilities or groundwater, temporary struts keep the excavation square and safe.

Common uses include top‑down basement builds, rail‑corridor cuttings and cofferdams bordering sensitive assets.

DVH design and fabricate steel or hydraulic struts off‑site, slots them into pre‑welded soldier‑pile or sheet‑pile pockets and commissions live load‑cell monitoring so any load drift is flagged before it becomes a problem.

Deep Foundations

Continuous‑Flight‑Auger (CFA) Piles

CFA piles deliver high capacity with minimal noise and virtually zero vibration, perfect for inner‑city and urban precincts.

Commonly used for tower‑crane bases, hospital extensions, reactive urban soils and sites with strict vibration limits.

A continuous auger drills to the required depth; concrete is pumped through the hollow stem as the auger is withdrawn, preventing soil collapse. Reinforcing cage is then plunged into the fresh concrete to full depth. All torque, depth and flow data stream to your QA portal in real time.

Driven Piles

Driven piles achieve capacity on impact, a decisive, inspectable foundation solution where programme speed is critical.

Commonly used in marine wharfs, bridge bents, industrial slabs and fast‑track warehouses.

To install, we pitch steel or precast concrete piles, then drive them with hydraulic or diesel hammers, monitoring blow count and set to confirm design capacity before cutting off and capping.

Screw Piles

Modular helical piles screw quietly into the ground and accept load immediately, removing the cure times associated with concrete.

Commonly used in low head‑room refurbishments, reactive clay sites, and remote renewables where rapid installation saves transport and concrete logistics.

Sections are rotated into the soil by a torque‑controlled drive head; extensions are added until design torque correlates with capacity. A pre‑fabricated cap plate connects to the superstructure the same day.

Bored Piles

For challenging soil conditions or heavy structural loads, bored piles provide deep, stable foundations.

We specialise in large-diameter bored piling. Our modern, mobile rigs are equipped to handle both high-volume and tight-access environments with efficiency and control.

Ground Improvement

Permeation grouting

Permeation grouting turns loose sands or fissured rock into a solid, low‑permeability block without noticeable ground heave.

Pre‑support for TBM launch chambers, underpinning of heritage buildings and groundwater cut‑offs around shafts commonly use this technique.

We drill a grid of small‑diameter holes, insert grout pipes and pump low‑viscosity cementitious or chemical grout under controlled pressure until refusal. The treated zone gains strength and water tightness while adjacent structures remain undisturbed.

Injection grouting

When you need to fill hidden voids, arrest settlement or jack structures gently back to level, compaction grouting delivers precise lift.

Common uses include, rail embankment remediation, re‑levelling of industrial slabs and densification of uncontrolled fill.

Thick, low‑mobility grout is injected in stage‑lifts, forming discrete bulbs that densify and displace surrounding soil. Each lift is pressure‑monitored to achieve target ground improvement without over‑heave

Dewatering

A dry excavation is a safe excavation. DVH designs dewatering systems that hold the water table down so crews can work in stable, open ground.

Commonly used in basement digs in sandy soils, pipeline trenches below groundwater level, and cofferdams beside waterways.

Depending on depth and soil permeability, we install closely spaced wellpoints via water‑jetting for shallow systems, drill deep‑wells with submersible pumps for larger drawdowns, or set up temporary sump pumps for short programmes.

Design and Certification

Strong foundations start with smart design.

Our in-house engineering team collaborates closely with site crews to deliver practical, buildable solutions that comply with Australian Standards.

We provide complete design documentation and certification for temporary shoring and fully integrated foundation systems.
